Lately I have been rather...

Unresponsive to those who I watch on DA. A lot of this has had to do with my frustration over my still continuing artist block.
I wish I knew what it was holding me back, but in a short while, it will have been two full months with be not being able to produce anything I consider to be real work.
I just cannot do it.

Now, I have started my (optional) summer quarter in university, and have chosen to take a drawing class. It fills some requirement or other, I think, and has given me a reason to force myself to draw, as it will effect my GPA. (I have a quite high GPA so far, and if I continue to keep it at the height I have, I am likely to graduate with honors, which I would love to do So it is essential to me that I do my best to attain top grades in all courses.)
The first 'real' piece we have worked on was a self-portraiture done in the 3-ish hours of class. I did reasonably well, I believe. The professor was walking around examining the work we were doing and making corrections where he believed it was necessary, and mine was the only one he did not touch. I felt somewhat proud of this, despite my usual low opinion of my work, especially self-portraiture, because he did a good deal of work with some art students who I know to be rather talented. However, perhaps their strengths are simply not self-portraiture in short time periods. My gallery here will prove I have a lot of experience in that.
We also must draw two portraits a week of ourselves or friends. So far I have done two. (One was due last Thursday and one is due tomorrow, Monday.) Another will be due on Thursday of this week... And so on for the five weeks of the first session of summer quarter, in which this class takes place.
I would prefer, in all honesty, to draw different people for each. The problem with this is that none of my local friends are at school for summer quarter and those I have made so far... Well I would feel uncomfortable asking them to pose for me for three hours without moving So far I have used photographs of friends to do the first two.
The point of saying that is If you are willing to be a subject of my art, I'd love any PORTRAIT photographs offered. Please note you are not likely to see this drawing unless I particularly am fond of it... If I am, you may see it. These will be done with real media and in black and white. Most likely drawing pencils... Perhaps charcoal.

The problem is, I am no photographer and mostly use my camera to get reference pictures for my art. So I have few photographs of people which would be used for portraits... And none of friends. xD I just don't take pictures like that, I prefer to keep the image in memory.
So for the first two, I found pictures of my friends on myspace xD

The problem there? I only have so many friends on myspace, as I am not particularly fond of the site and have so far only added a few close friends (And one band because their song name was Faye xD)

I am currently living in a double in a dorm room. Ihave a roommate at the moment... Usually I do not. I am not handling it well.
This is causing a good deal of problems for me. It is something I must avoid in the future, and am hoping against hope that I will be able to rectify in the coming days. (But the chance of this is about zero, so I am not holding my breath)

This is causing me to sleep very little, and that from an insomniac. I am not getting enough to function properly, to be honest.
This is another reason for my lack of activity in art and on DA.

The main reason I bring this up is because it is a driving force behind my slowly gaining interest in trying to use art to bring in some cash. There are many ways of doing this, but I have never done so before and...

Well... I'm just going to have to figure out just what will work best for me. xD
